Red Lipstick Review: NYX Snow White September 3, 2015

Red Lipstick Review: NYX Snow White

This picture cracks me up. Check out the eyebrow.  It just does that.

It turns out, everything I know about lipstick is wrong.  All this time, I have been wearing matte, because its thicker, and so I figured it was more pigmented and had more staying power. Lies.  We talked about the Retro Red, and today, I became the proud owner of NYX in Snow White.

Snow White is described as a Satin Finish, and basically everything I said about the Retro Red applies here.  It slid right on, and it has stayed on all day.  Probably even better than the Retro Red, which I think is probably because it is so dark.

When I saw the shade, I knew I wanted to get it because I thought it looked sort of dark and vampy and I wanted to try and go a little bit in the opposite direction of what I already had.  I have to say, I love it.  It IS vampy, though really not much darker than the Besame Red Velvet.  I love the contrast against my light skin, and as I am sitting here writing this at 7:30 at night, it literally looks like I just put it on.  I still love my mattes, but they have nothing (especially the MAC, which is bleedy as hell) on the satin finishes in terms of staying power.  I am blown away.

End of the Day
