 Greetings!

My name is Halley and I am a beauty blogger. This is me:

 

  I originally started blogging because I love to write, and I wanted a way to record what was happening in my life at the start of my third decade.  It started off with me writing about a little bit of everything, and it was just for posterity; I didn't think anyone else would ever read it. 

About two years ago, around the time I got pregnant with my daughter, I started wearing makeup.  I had never been a "makeup girl," but I was sick of people always commenting that I looked tired.  As a side note, why do people say that? Its so rude.  It is the equivalent of saying, "gosh you look haggard today!"  I started investing in a little bit of makeup, and the results were amazing.  Not so much that my face looked different, but just that nobody said I looked tired anymore! And with two kids at home and a baby on the way, that was good enough for me!

It turns out, my spirit animal is a glamazon.  Makeup an I... we were meant for each other, and at that point, my blog slowly started to morph into a beauty blog, where I wrote makeup reviews, mostly for lipstick.  Lipstick is my favorite, red lipstick specifically. 

My social media life was forever changed this year when I finally joined instagram.  I am obsessed with instagram.  Not only is it thick with beauty, fashion, and makeup bloggers, its covered in just regular ladies who are killing it.  And I get to pick up on all the cool stuff they're doing.  I follow She-Spark on instagram, and you can find me there as @lovejlah if you are interested in understanding more about the kind of things I am into. 

 

 

My original blog started to sort of spiral out of control, and because I share content with my children on it, I decided to make it private.  I still wanted to talk about all things beauty and be able to share that publically, so here I am :)
